In 2013, Mohsin began focused research and development of a high-frequency electrosurgical generator, developing the first prototype in December of that year. This engineering work became the technological foundation from which APRUS Technologies subsequently emerged.
He holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering with specialization in Power Electronics & Control. His technical background is closely aligned with the power-electronics, control and high-frequency energy challenges involved in electrosurgical-generator development.
As Founder and Director of Innovation, Mohsin leads APRUS's technology and product-development direction, with responsibilities spanning:
- Electrosurgical Technology Research & Development
- Product Architecture & Engineering
- Power Electronics & Control Systems
- High-Frequency Electrosurgical Energy Development
- Product Innovation & Technology Roadmapping
- Technical Evaluation & Design Improvement
- Manufacturing Technology & Engineering Support
- Technical Collaboration with Hospitals, Biomedical Professionals & Partners
His work has remained centered on developing electrosurgical technology locally while progressively improving the capability, usability and commercial readiness of APRUS products.
